The FS63 - High Temperature Dielectric Probe is a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based sensor, specifically designed to withstand high temperatures and intense electromagnetic fields. 
This sensor is completely non-metallic and employs only heat-resistant and highly dielectric materials.

Characteristics

  • Robustness. Ruggedized construction with Kevlar® and PTFE strength layers, offering high longitudinal and transversal protection.
  • Completely passive. Inherent immunity to all electromagnetic effects (EMI, RFI, sparks, etc.) and safe operation in hazardous environments.
  • High multiplexing capability. Possibility of connecting several sensors to the same optical channel in a single measurement unit, by using active and/or passive multiplexers.
  • Remote sensing. Large distance between sensors and interrogator (several kilometers).
  • Compatible with most interrogators. Provided with calibration sheet, allowing easy and accurate configuration.
  • Self-referenced.  Based on the measurement of an absolute parameter - the Bragg wavelength - independent of power fluctuations.
